Chapter 2

Liam's Pov

"Good morning Alpha Liam."

I was greeted by my beta, Anderson.

Today was one of those days where we have to train very hard.

All the males in pack are able to fight because I made sure that all of them are getting trained at a very young age.

We have some women's who are warriors, as much as I don't like the idea of them being warriors, I couldn't stop them.

I believe in equality.

"Good morning Beta.

I need to see you in my office before you go to the training grounds."

I didn't wait for him to respond, I went to my office.

I am not a friendly person, my pack already knows that.

They are scared of me, and I don't blame them.

I became a bitter Alpha at the age of 16, on my birthday.

It was my first day to shift and it came to a surprise to everyone because I was an earlier shifter.

Usually most warewolves meet their Wolf at the age of 16 and they start to speak to each other, but my situation was different the day I first spoke to my Wolf was the day I shifted.

The very same day I lost both of my parents and my sister.

While I was busy shifting, my pack was fighting for their own life and I wasn't there to protect them.

So not only did my family die that day, but most of the members of the pack their parents died too, including my beta.

His parents also died on that day.

They died protecting this pack and that is why I am making sure that every male is able to fight so that we can protect our mates and children.

"You called me Alpha."

Only my beta have guts to come in without knocking and I've told him many times to stop barging in my office without knocking but him being irritating as he is, he keep doing it all over again, so I decided to let him be.

"Take a seat.

We need to act very fast before those Hunter's come to attack us again."

The Hunter's were involved in my parents death but I know that they were not fully responsible for it, but they are the only enemies that we know of.

The Wolves that were there on that day they masked their scents and we couldn't trace them, so now the only enemies that we know of it's the Hunter's.

"You mean, we should attack them?"

"Yes we need to do that tonight."

I know it's a short notice but I can't risk my plan be heard by our unknown enemies, they might be everywhere and they might sabotage our plan.

"Tonight?

Is it that to early?"

My beta should know me by now, I make decisions without informing anyone.

"The Warriors are well trained so I don't think it's too early."

I don't like explain myself but now I had too since their lives are at stake.

"Okay I will let the Warriors to train harder today so that they may prepare for tonight."

"I don't think they should do any hard training today, they should just learn few techniques and let them rest early so that they can regain more energy."

"Okay I will let them know.

Is there anything you may need for me?"

"No, you may leave."

Just before he opened the doorknob, he stopped.

"Are you forgetting something?"

"No I just want to ask you something, I know you don't like talking about it but allow me too.

Don't you think before we go to the war, you should first look for your mate?"

This again.

"I looked for her since I was 16 years old and until now there is still no luck, so I will not going bother myself to look for someone who doesn't want to be found.

It's been seven years now with no luck.

I am not going to focus on that, all I want now is to protect my pack and avenge our parents."

"But don't you think if we had our Luna, we would be stronger than we are now and you would be more powerful than you are now."

He is right but I am not going to waste my time again looking for the mate that doesn't want to be found.

"You are right, but what can I do now.

We went around the world searching for her and there was no luck.

If we going to search for her again, our enemies will find this as an opportunity to destroy the pack, just like what they did three years ago."

"You are right, I should get going."

The biggest problem we have is that we are fighting enemies that we don't even know of.

They may be closer to us or faraway and what kills me the most is that I have no clue who might be.

As much as I want to meet my mate but I also think it's the best that she is not around until we figure out who was behind our parents death.

I fear to lose her too.

It feels like everyone that is surrounding me is dying.

I feel like I've been cursed.
