It was in the noon but the weather doesn't portray that as there seems to be a conflict between the sun and the moon. Everyone was indoors and there was a total eclipse in the Kingdom of Kuhan.
No one dares step out of their houses as the eclipse could blind them. They've never experienced anything like that before. During this period, everyone but one was in peace.
"You've to push!!!" The Midwife yelled. The laboring woman groaned, her veins almost tearing her skin. She was in great discomfort.
"Bring me water, Now!!" The Midwife yelled at her assistants, one quickly went and came back with a bowl of water after a few seconds.
"Here drink some" The Midwife said, slowly making her drink from the bowl.
"Now push!" The Midwife yelled again and the laboring woman pushed as hard as she could, letting out a loud groan in the process.
"Yessss! Cry, baby! Cryyy!" The Midwife said out of happiness, her face beaming with a smile as she gently carried the just delivered baby. One of her assistants carefully collected the baby, to clean him up.
The Midwife looked at the mother and saw she's still in discomfort.
"There's more.....!?" She said, surprised.
"Push!" She ordered and the mother pushed again, with all her strength.
The Midwife and her assistants shrieked out of fear.
The mother just delivered another baby, but not a boy, not a girl, not even human!. She gave birth to a cub.
The cub meowed just as it was delivered.
"Oh my God!!!" The Midwife shouted out of fear, she had never seen anything like that over the years she'd been on the job.
Meanwhile, at that exact moment, the cub was delivered, a young woman, all dressed in a white gown, the priestess of Kuhan, Lady Blythe as she likes to be called woke up from her deep sleep.
She sat up, her eyes wide open and sweat dropped off her head.
"Magic has returned to the land" She said
Kuhan, hundreds of years ago used to be a kingdom that welcomes sorcerers but things changed when the bad eggs among the sorcerers use their powers to torment people. Therefore magic was banned from the Kingdom and the only ones with sorcery powers are the Priestesses, they are the King's most trusted servants.
What happens when magic returns to the land, When sorcerers, again, try to bring down Kuhan!.
Lady Blythe got up from her bed immediately, she exited her chamber and was walking towards the King's. She doesn't always sleep in the palace, she has her own house where she spends most of her time in. She suddenly stopped at a point and checked out through the window, the eclipse has ended. She proceeded and the guards kept bowing down for her as she walked.
"I need to see the King" She said to the guard standing by the door to the King's chamber.
"Wait for me in the Court" The King spoke from inside.
"Very well your majesty" Lady Blythe said and bowed, even though she didn't see the King. She entered the King's court and sat down, patiently waiting for King.
King Emmett, dressed in one of his many specially designed royal robes stepped out of his chamber. The guards bowed down at his sight. He entered the King's court and down on his throne. Lady Blythe bowed down.
"Why do you need to see me urgently my lady?" King Emmett asked, he respects the young Priestess just like every other past kings respect the past Priestesses. They're considered to be part of the Royal Family.
"The Eclipse." Lady Blythe said and paused, slowly raising her head up and looked right at the King.
"It's a message"
"Magic is back in the Kingdom, we must prevent that" Lady Blythe said. The King became restless.
"Magic?" He muttered
"Someone with magic was born!"
"He has to be killed!" Lady Blythe said and stood up, her black, long hair covered her face totally.
"Guards!!!" King Emmett yelled and three guards ran in.
"Go to"
"Leave it to me your majesty" Lady Blythe cuts in.
"Follow me" She ordered the three guards and they all followed her as she leads the way to the midwife's hospital.
She rode on a horse while the guards walked after her. People greeted her but she never replies.
"She's too arrogant" One Of the passersby whispered to her partner
"She acts more like the King!" Another one said
She wasn't supposed to hear those, even the guards didn't but she has special abilities. She acted naturally and slowly rode to the hospital.
She alighted and entered. The midwife bowed down to her.
"Where are they?" Lady Blythe asked
"Who?" The midwife asked
"The mother and the child she gave birth to" Lady Blythe replied.
"Ohhh, there my lady" The midwife replied and showed her.
The mother is still sleeping, so is her child and the cub.
Lady Blythe ran her fingers through the mother's hair, she hadn't noticed the cub yet.
"Move!" One of the guards yelled at one of the midwife's assistants, he noticed the cub and brought out his dagger to stab him. Unfortunately for him, an unknown force blasted him, sending him right through the wall, he landed outside.
Everyone was terrified except Lady Blythe.
Lady Blythe turned to the cub and picked him up gently.
"Take the mother and the baby!" She ordered the guards. The guards violently dragged the mother and took the baby, off to the palace.
King Emmett and his only wife, Queen Dorothy were standing right in front of the palace.
People started gathering at the scene.
"What should we do about them?" Lady Blythe asked
"Kill them!" King Emmett ordered
"No!!!" Queen Dorothy yelled in disagreement, she took the baby from the guard and caressed him. She had always wished for one but her prayer hasn't been answered yet.
"How dare you, you'll kill this innocent baby?" Queen Dorothy questioned as she continued caressing him.
"Your majesty!" The mother fell down, holding the King's both legs.
"Your majesty......" She repeated
"Please, I don't know my offense, please don't kill my baby" She pleaded.
"What of the cub?" King Emmett asked as soon as he noticed.
"She gave birth to it" Lady Blythe replied.
"What?" The mother muttered, stood up, and saw the cub.
"How....wh..."
"The cub and the baby can't be killed while young." Lady Blythe said.
"Then Lock them all in the deepest part of the dungeons!"
"They'd be killed when we can!" The King ordered and turned to leave.
"Hell No!" Queen Dorothy yelled.
"I'll take the baby! You'd do nothing of such" She said
"That's dangerous your highness" Lady Blythe replied.
"I want them out of Kuhan. Banish them to the Hunka forest." King Emmett declared and the people around left out a gasp.
The Hunka forest is never safe for anyone. Wild animals, bandits, it's their playground.
"But," Queen Dorothy said
"That's my final verdict!" King Emmett yelled and the guards slowly collected the baby, dragged the mother, and locked them all in a cage, placed on a horse vehicle.
The guards dropped them at the entrance of the Hunka forest and left.

SOMEWHERE UNKNOWN
A lady, dressed in a black gown, the gown has a hood attached to it which she used in covering her face.
She walked alone in the dark night, the crickets were making awful chirping sounds. The branches of the trees around were hitting against each other as the breeze was getting fiercer.
She halted in front of a river, the Ulu river.
She bent down and collected some water in her jar and drank from it.
The river started boiling and a weird-looking old woman emerged from the river. She was dressed in rags, he hair was scattered and her face wrinkled. Her skin was peeling.
"Do not forget! Make Kuhan Ours!!!" The old woman yelled.
The lady nodded positively and turned back to leave, the woman's voice echoed as she fades away.
