" What did you just say, that the gold digger is no longer interested in the money and has run away? He sure knew what was good for him" Cara asked as she laughed, although she was never interested in this marriage in the first place so it was a good thing the fool realized that the marriage was not going to be easy and fled before she starts treating him as the slave he was. It shows he still has a little dignity, she thought to herself.
She was not aware that the groom took the dowry before he ran away.
" My Princess, he left after collecting taking the bride's price from your father," Her maid explains to her.
" What? Do you mean that the gold digger absconded with the money? So he collect the wealth and left me humiliated," Cara shouted angrily making the maid shiver in fear.

Cara got mad and she promise she was going to after that liar herself and bring him back to the pack. If he thinks he can come to this Kingdom to deceive everyone and get away with it. He must be fooling himself.
She was never interested in getting married again after experiencing five rejections from different suitors because she had no wolf and had faced a lot of mockery from everyone who knew she has no wolf. She had made up her mind to remain single but her father had to force her into this marriage
because her father felt that she could not live alone. He fears she will be maltreated and not respected by the pack members
Her father loves her so much, and she likes to obey his every wish because she loves him too and does not want to see him worried about her, so in order to please him and not make him sad, she accepted this marriage without a fight.
When her father asked her to meet her future husband, she refused because she knew that he was only going to be her husband to the world but she was going to turn him into her slave. She never bothered to see him. When she discovered his purpose for wanting to marry her, it disgust her.
