He sighed and rubbed his calloused hand across his stubble covered chin. Walking into the recording studio his cousin owned. He had been asked to come in for a meeting. 'Asked? More like summoned.' He grumbled to himself as he walked past the open concept reception area, with a quick wave to the woman who sat behind the desk, a wireless earpiece in her ear. She looked up and smiled warmly at him before nodding her head in acknowledgement towards the main studio.

He sighed again, a bit louder this time. He knew why he was here. His cousin wanted him to watch over an artist.  Probably another no talent brat, as the last few had been. 'Doesnt he realize I have better things to do than babysit?' He asked himself. Walking through the hallways, he could hear the sounds of different music coming from behind the doors. Something caught his ear. He looked down the hall that split off from where he was. Something was pulling him that way. Checking his watch, 9:15. He had time, knowing his cousin was surely in the middle of something. He always was.

Turning down the hallway, he moved a bit slower. The music was getting louder. 'Deftones meets In This Moment', he thought to himself. He smiled, two of his favorite bands. He stopped at the last door. Frozen. A voice stopping him in his tracks.

"...watch me change. Under the moonlight..."

That voice. Melodic. Entrancing. Seducing. His hand gripped the steel door handle and he pushed it open slowly.

There were a few people in the room. The producer, engineer, and what seemed to be friends or management team. Everyone was focused on the recording booth. He followed their eyes to the band, recording live together. He never understood why bands would record separately. Defeated the purpose of being a band, in his opinion.

They looked like a typical band. Jeans, tshirts, tattoos and broody moods. But where was the owner of that voice?

"Pushing in...pull me back to you..." There she was. Leaning her back against one of the guitarists near the corner of the booth. A slow and quiet growl formed at the bottom of his throat without realizing it. Or, so he thought. The people in the engineering room turned their heads to look at him at the same time his eyes met hers. A small flash of recognition in them. She watched him.

"I'll make you mine tonight..under the moonlight.." it was as if she was singing to him. And he never wanted her to stop.
