Introduction
I yearned to be acknowledged as a deserving Luna, even though the entire pack never addressed me as such. Nevertheless, I persevered, striving for their respect. Within each pack, leaders must earn the pack's allegiance rather than coerce it. Hence, I continued to push myself beyond the limits I had never before explored. Yet, despite my relentless efforts, I was deceived and betrayed. My so-called mate, Brett, and my supposed best friend, Jennifer, shattered my trust. We grew up without parents, but I cared for Jennifer as a sister would. Nevertheless, she plunged a metaphorical knife into my back. Now and future, never again will I allow anyone to exploit my vulnerability, I will reclaim my standing.

"You're pregnant!" Jennifer's voice jolted me awake.

Confused, I asked, "Where am I?" The room was cold and dark, but I could hear Jennifer's voice.

Suddenly, her tone turned menacing. "But I'm going to get rid of you and that bastard in your womb!"

Shocked, I exclaimed, "What? Are you really going to do this, Jen? I thought we were sisters."

However, she simply walked away, leaving me alone in the darkness.

As I woke up, I realized it was all just a dream. I wished I had this dream earlier to avoid the pain of betrayal. I gripped the edge of the table, whimpering and trying to breathe through the pain.

It felt like the walls were closing in on me, and the thought of a positive test result lingered in my mind. My so-called mate and I had been trying for years to have a child, but it seemed to be driving a wedge between us as he became distant and cold.

In fact, our relationship may have already been ruined. There was nothing left after today.

Suddenly, the door swung open, causing me to jump in my seat. My family doctor, Gabriela Hayes, greeted me with a warm smile as she rubbed hand sanitizer on her hands before sitting down. My heart raced as I waited for her to speak.

"Just breathe, Ms. Elissa Dixon."

"Relax." She smiles, inhaling slowly with me and reaching for my hands.

She didn't even have the decency to call me Luna; what have I not done for her and the pack, oh my goodness?

My blood boiled, but what could I do but listen to her?

My hands were trembling, but I managed to calm down. Dr. Gabriela's smile deepened.

If only she knew that I never wanted to have a child with that vile man! What he did to me could never be forgiven.

"Congratulations, Elissa," she says, placing her hand on my tummy.

"Oh no, not now; I do not need a child!"

At the moment, my mind was flooded with so many questions, but I still managed to let her conclude without getting any negative or positive feedback.

"You're carrying our little Alpha in there."

My heart skips a beat as I process the news as she points at my tummy.

No! No! No!

I was literally shivering and screaming inside.

I'm pregnant! Oh my gosh, I'm pregnant! I closed my eyes and opened them again.

"For how long?" I whispered, barely able to put together a sentence while holding back the sob in my throat.

"Well, we would find out!"

"Let's find out, shall we? Look." She smiled, but, oh man, I wasn't smiling. How could I?

squirting cold gel on my belly and pulling the ultrasound machine out.

I felt butterflies in my belly as I stared at the screen, unable to read the images but hoping somehow I could get rid of this child.

"Well, I'd say from the looks of it, about 5 weeks and some days, which means we have to start your session immediately, Luna," she said sternly, handing me some documents.

I could not believe my ears, did she just call me Luna?

That means I was just a tool that would get them pups.

"A werewolf pregnancy is very dangerous for a human."

"We'll have to take extra measures at this point."

She brings out a towel and wipes the gel off my stomach, gives me information on what to expect, and prescribes me meds and full information on prenatal care.

Up until two days ago, my life was quite simple. I was the Alpha's human mate, as they say. I was his Luna, who everyone thought was as useless as an omega, or even more useless. I was his wife, at least to him. And then, in the blink of an eye, I became nothing.

All the memories of what happened came flooding back into my head.

I had gone out to get some fresh air after a heated argument. Brett told me I needed a break and should go out.

After a while, after I had become relaxed, I headed back to the pack house.

As I pulled up to the packing house, the pain I had always felt once again returned. I sat down on a bench for a minute to let it pass, clenching my teeth together to keep me from screaming.

Slowly, I drag myself up the beach and through the front door of the house. I met with several omegas eager to take my things as my mate commanded, but from the ugly look I always get from them, they were too uncomfortable with my presence, and the house was unusually quiet, or should I say empty?

I was tired and didn't have time to question it when a burning sensation spread across my chest, making every breath unbearable. I couldn't scream even if I wanted to; my lungs and damn organs were on fire.

I climbed up the stairs to the third floor, the Alpha's floor.

I was looking forward to lying down and resting for a long time; I was too weak to do anything but sleep.

With each step I took, it became even more difficult for me to take as the pain intensified. I felt thousands of needles piercing through my heart, but I didn't know why.

From where I stood at the top of the stairs, I could see the door to my room slightly open, and I could hear strange sounds coming from inside.

"I thought Brett had gone out for a meeting?" I muttered as I blinked; in fact, he encouraged me to go out for a while as he too was going out for a meeting. That was after I asked why I was always going through such pain, and he said that it was normal for me to feel all that pain as I was trying to get pregnant.

As I inched closer, an unmistakable scene unfolded before me, with my blood boiling at the sight.
