"You look amazing, milady". Hazel's maid commented on how she looked. She studied her reflection in the mirror. The stylist had done a perfect job in primping her up. Her long cognac hair was packed in a neat bun where her veil sat on. Her face painted just enough to emphasize her already beautiful features.
Hazel sighed for the umpteenth time. She had always imagined and fantasized about how wonderful her wedding was going to be.
But after her five fiancees had broken off the engagement with her she had lost such dreams and decided to face the reality. Well, they weren't to be blamed, no one would marry a weak werewolf, weaker than the omegas that she couldn't even recognize her own mate, though she didn't believe in the mate thing and didn't care, it was a major factor for the werewolves. A male werewolves mate increases the strength of the male.
. In the world of werewolves strength was a major factor and unfortunately for Hazel she was feeble and of no use to any warewolf household.
However, she was the daughter of the most powerful and richest man of the silver moon pack who ruled all the maritime transportation, the pirate king as he's known popularly for. In the end, he had managed to get her a groom who seems to be doing it for the large wad of dowry he was getting from her father. In fact, she couldn't believe her fate was even worst than she imagined. Being married to the supposed "gold digger" was in no way what she imagined.
"It's time, milady." Her maids voice startled her as she almost jumped off from her seating position. She took in another long deep sigh, before she stood up and gracefully walked towards the door.
The door at the entrance was opened for her and she held her head high before stepping in calmly along the corridor. She hoped everything will go quickly and fine without any hiatus.
With one last step, she stood before the large doors which led to the wedding hall in which she will be married in.
Her presence was then announced after what seemed like hours, but it was just few seconds. The procession began and she walked into the beautifully decorated hall. Her father would do anything to send her away after all.
Lost in thought, Hazel didn't realize she had already reached the seat meant for her and her groom.
She slowly lifted her face to see the face of the man she was about to marry but what welcomed her was emptiness as no one seemed to be sitting there. She wondered if she was meant to wait for her groom as it wasn't something she had seen or heard.
Though displeased she sat down. Her eyes turned to look at the crowd,Her dad sat there in the front rows in an exclusive seat made for him, her four brothers didn't bother to be in attendance, they had never showed any iota of love for her anyways.
They were a few more faces which she recognized among the guests.
They seemed to be a bit of murmuring of displeasure from the crowd.
What seems like hours passed and her groom was no where to be found.
"Milady, it seems your groom decided to run away with the dowry". One of hazel maids came to whisper against her ears. She let out an uncomfortable laugh trying to subdue her rising anger.
"He must have married her for the money". One of the guest murmured in which Hazel caught on from where she was sitting.
"Even a gold digger couldn't stand marrying a wolf- less she - wolf"
Another commented. The murmurs of the guest were loud enough even for her to hear. She wouldn't blame them
After hours of waiting for the groom, all the invited guests reaction was expected.
In a fit of anger she stood running away from the hall, she couldn't bear the embarrassment. Her dad wasn't even at the hall to hear such negative commentaries from the guests as he too had left the hall long ago.
She tore the Hem of her dress and threw away the veil on her head though that wasn't in any way lady-like but finding the opportunist who thought he could leech on her father's money and taint her reputation was her major priority for now and being lady like was the least on her mind. Though she didn't have a wolf and was among the weakest. She was still the niece of the Luna of silver moon pack and a beautiful lady at that. She couldn't bear the thought of someone riding on her emotions.
The blood moon pack was where the money leech groom of hers was said to be from.
The blood moon pack and the silver moon pack was separated by a river, if she was fast to get to the river side, she was sure to meet him there before he could abscond with her dowry.
Without any hesitation, she ran to the river side that connects blood moon pack to the silver moon pack.
By the Riverside, Hazel saw a back view of the man who was supposed to be her groom . Preparing to scold him for trying to run away, she tapped him furiously on the back to gain his attention since he hadn't noticed her presence.
He turned and the moment their eyes met... Hazel's heart momentarily stopped, this was the first time she was meeting her groom 'Ervin'.
"Mate" her wolf unexpectedly spoke.
