Isaac is who you would call the average high schooler, or maybe a little less average but either way he is not a very great guy. Standing tall at 5'7 with a plain looking face that his grandma considered handsome. With average grades that are seen as excellent by her standards, he should be the role model of every guy. The ladies man is what you'll think of him if his grandma told you about him. But too bad they don't think of him like that at school, that's if they even think of him at all. Because he has a super power that's not very sought after, what's that? Invisibility.
Let's be honest here, with what you already know about Isaac, he's not the first guy you'll want to be friends with, neither will he be any girl's first choice. Normally he'd be an extra in any novel but I guess Quinn would like to disagree with you and I.
Now just who is Quinn? Hold up, have a little patience. Why don't you find out who she is from Isaac's point of view. Isaac has known Quinn since kindergarten when the teacher made them bench partners. It ended at that for her but that's where it started for him.
Gradually as they grew older, he started to fall in love with her and as he became less visible, she grew even more popular, diminishing any chances he had with her. She became the captain of the cheer leaders and he'll always watch from afar only being able to hold her hands in his fantasies and talk to her in his dreams. But I guess you're still wondering why I said Quinn would like to disagree with you and I, well it's because she said these words to Isaac and I quote "would you like to go on a date with me?" Yes it's true, I also wouldn't believe it if you told me that's why I'm going to tell you how it happened.
So the summer break was drawing closer and Quinn had just broken up with her boyfriend Liam. To be more specific, he dumped her and the whole school was shaken by it. She didn't come to school for three days straight and had a gloomy look when she finally resumed. For Isaac, this was the perfect opportunity the dating coach online talked about, "strike in her moment of weakness" he said. Isaac mustered up the courage to walk up to her and... haha, just kidding he is not that brave. He wrote a letter and slipped it into her locker.

Since I met you in kindergarten, I've always thought that you were an amazing person and that thought grew into something way bigger, so big that I cant contain it any longer. She read it with her friends and they all laughed at it, a lot. She thought to herself what kind of corny shit is this and then later threw it in the trash. The next day before she left for school she saw it in the trash can and an idea suddenly popped up in her head. She decided to have a talk with Isaac about the letter. So when she got to class, she passed a note to him. Now Isaac was feeling enthusiastic about this but he didn't want to give himself false hope because realistically, his chances were slim. He opened the note and read it. It said, "meet me at the cafeteria." This made him a lot more anxious, he was hoping to get a reply in the form of a letter, so why the cafeteria? That's where a lot of people would be, maybe she was trying to embarrass him. But for the 0.01% chance that it was for something positive, he made up his mind to go.
Time went by very slowly, increasing the pressure that he was feeling and when it was finally time, he dragged his feet there. There were hesitations in his steps but he had to "be a man" just as the dating coach online said. Quinn's friend Sarah spotted him when he walked into the cafeteria. Before then, Quinn had already told them what was on her mind so she whispered, "hey guys he's here".
He walked up to where they were seated and stood at the opposite end of the table, like how contestants face the judges in auditions. The mood became more tense when she came over to him by climbing on top of the table so he had to look up to her. The other kids noticed what was happening, she looked down at him for a few seconds before stepping down and then finally stood face to face with him. Not even up to an arms length away. This was the closest he had come to her since kindergarten, this was the closest he had been with any girl.
" Hey Isaac I read your letter but I wanted to see and hear from you in person."
'Why? Why oh heavens? If this is what it takes, then I'd rather not do it' is what he thought to himself after hearing her words...
"So?" She said with a face implying that he should go on as expected. He knew he had to say something, he clenched his fist as he started speaking
"I... I have a huge crush on you... And... And I wanna... I mean I want to go out on a date with you"
After speaking he felt like he had achieved his purpose in life, at last he was ready to meet his creator. The look of accomplishment on his face made Quinn's friends laugh but she found it cute. She walked closer to him and spoke so that only him could hear her.
"You seem like a great guy, but you have to promise me that you will treat my heart with care"
It was no secret how her ex dumped her so he quickly promised to be different. He was determined to treat her like the queen that she was to him.
"Okay, would you like to go on a date with me? Zomino's would be great"
He nodded in affirmation then she moved closer and pecked him on the lips and quickly went away with her friends.
The scene infront of all the other kids was unbelievable. Isaac just stood there in a daze as his mind was going wild, it didn't feel like reality. Ah! I know, you also don't feel like this is realistic but unlike Isaac I'll let you know how the impossible became possible. So Quinn yeah, Isaac's dream girl, the perfect girl in his eyes. But she is not really the greatest person and she is only with him now for two reasons. Firstly, she is trying to make her ex boyfriend jealous by quickly replacing him with a dork. He has a big ego but she's hoping he'll come back to her. And for the second reason you have to stick around to find out.
At 7pm Isaac put on his fanciest pants, combed his hair and sprayed his best cologne. He had to look good for his first date. He got there 20 minutes early and practiced the things he was going to say to her, he didn't want to bore her and he was really happy.
"Finally, I get to go on a date with my crush"
Quinn finally came over and they got some snacks, they talked about some fun things and related very well with each other. Zomino's was at the out skirts of the town so the calm scenery was conducive for love birds. That's how he felt. As they were having fun she told him that she had something to show him and that she had to show him in a private area. She giggled cutely as she said it. He asked what it was and she said it was a surprise.
The mystery made him even more curious so he quickly told her they should go to the "Night Owl's Nest". It was a popular abandoned old house that had many stories surrounding it. It being haunted or being used as a werewolf's den. He picked the location to make her think he was a daring guy. So they went there, when they got in they roamed about a little bit before Quinn wandered off on her on. When he turned around and didn't see her, it made him scared. Indeed, maybe the stories were true. As he wanted to yell out her name he heard someone call him from the other room, it was Quinn, or was it really her? He walked there slowly and then peeped into the room and then...
