I sat on the back porch and looked up at the sky, to watch the first few flurries of snow fall to the earth and coat the pine trees.

This is my first night watch in months and I'm feeling like something just might actually happen.

My ears perked up a tiny bit. Besides the snow, and the scrambling of woodland creatures I heard a very distinct thump, thump, thump.

I turned to my watch partner Samuel who had his ears up in concentration.

Did you hear that? I asked him through the pack link.

Yes, I did. Go wake the alpha, to tell him there are other wolves in our territory. Samuel ordered.

Quickly and quietly I went back into the house and tried to reach Alpha Sharpe through a mind link. But he's no use when he's sleeping.

I went up the steps , careful not to wake any other wolves in the process.

Slowly I open the door to his chamber where he lay with the Luna, my sister.

"Alpha" I whispered, "Alpha, there is a problem"

He rolled over and answered through a link What happened? Never wake your Luna, I don't appreciate it

Note to self, never wake up an alpha female, even if she's your sister. The alpha will come for you.

My apologies, alpha. But there are wolves on our ground. We want instructions.

By this time the alpha was up and getting dressed Are they rouges?

He asked me as he came into the doorway.

I couldn't tell. I only heard their feet.

Alpha Sharpe and I made our decent downstairs where we saw Samuel standing by the banister.

I could smell his sweat.

"What's wrong?" Alpha wondered, "Are they rouges?"

Samuel gulped audibly, "No, its the Crescent Moon Pack. And they want to talk."
