The sun rose steadily as it had been it's daily routine in summer. It was a Monday morning and most people could be seen in a hast to work. Eric stood beside a gas station opposite a crosswalk, lost in thoughts. She had a lot to do for the day and wished a hero would save her from there.
“Guess I'm done wishing” she muttered, shrugged her shoulder, glanced at the bag which dangled around her waist and crossed over to the other side of the road. It's another day stucked with works and demand. In her thoughts, she didn't realize when she bumped into someone who was running away from some group of men in Blacks, she couldn't see his face because he was trying to escape being caught, before she could say a word, she was tossed aside in rage by the men who pushed her out of the way, almost falling.
“Some people are just rude!” She cursed with a hiss, annoyed. These men just ruined her day with a bump but was it really his fault? Erica placed her hand on her waist and suddenly gasped, her bag was gone! Where was she going to find it because certainly, one those men took it. Erica looked to and fro, she couldn't even recall the path these men took.
“What do I do?” She lamented stressed out for the day which was just beginning. The devastated girl drove across the crosswalk and zoomed to the street. Her scooter came to a halt and she decided to question the people close by if perhaps they could give her directions on where those men could be. However, she could perceive that some group of teenagers began to point at her suspiciously as she came closer towards them. She was becoming nervous if possibly they had clue on who she was.
“Excuse me?” A voice called from behind her. That voice made her heart skip that she swallowed hard and stood glued to a spot. Erica didn't reply neither did she turned around to look at who was speaking, certainly because her missing bag had something vital. As she was about to leave that position she stood, she felt the owner of that voice grabbing her hand furiously. It was one of the men that passed her just some seconds ago. Erica just hopes the plan goes well because it just couldn't get ruined.
“I believe you have what we're looking for” the voice roared and Eric turned back to see who was speaking and her guess was correct! She struggled to pulled her wrist off his grip, but he was far too strong to match her energy.
“Let me go!” She ordered strolling her eyes around as all she could see was people on that street running away. Certainly, they didn't want to get involved with thugs. She was far away from the crosswalk and the crowd couldn't be traced here, Erica screamed, but no one could hear her.
“Be quiet!” He roared, flipping her bag on her face and she gasped. How did they get it? They were smart in detecting that she took something vital and was pretending to be a delivery girl just not to get caught. Did they find what was inside it? Soon, two more men in Black appeared from behind him.
“You're playing with fire… Girl!” One of them muttered, grinning loudly. She knew she was in trouble and needed to run away before being held hostage or killed. The former still held her tightly, shaking her and threaten her, while the two men behind her pointed a gun at her. Erica drew her face to him, glanced at his hand and kicked him hard on the cock causing him to wail and unhand her wrist.
“Fuck! Find her!” He roared as they ran after her, shooting guns around the area while people close by ran for their dear life's. They were back again, the goons of the streets, and no one gets in their way. Erica was almost exhausted while she ran as fast as she could to avoid getting a bullet, she hid behind a building hoping to be found by someone who was to meet her there. Cocking her head out a little to see if these scary men were still after, and she realized they were a distance away, still contemplating where she ran off to. How lucky she was that he came right on time to save her. That was the person who she was waiting for, to show up. She had messaged him earlier while she was racing from danger. This young man was more like her partner in crime and goes by the name josh.
“Got into trouble again?” He said starting his motorcycle.
“Are you going to keep asking questions or help!” She panicked, hopping behind.
“Hold on tight, lady!” He beckoned, giving her a helmet while he rides with speed.
“There they are!” The boss ordered immediately he saw Erica and Josh ride off. The three goons stood mute in shock as their thought was that Erica was all alone but it turns out she had teams.
“So they were together all this time, Luca” the boss wailed with regrets.
“It was all planned…so cunning” Luca responded, and a slap landed on his face. His second bow slowly, afraid of being the next to receive a slap as well from the infuriated boss.
“That's because you're all fools!” He retorts, stamping his feet in anger. They couldn't handle these petty thieves and it annoys the boss.
“Sammy!…call the don” the boss ordered and Sammy became speechless, why was he the sacrificial lamb to deliver the bad news to the Don?
“Can we reconsider?..we can find them, right?” He suggested with uncertainty as the two glared at him.

Erica jumped down the bike immediately it came to a halt at a building, she pulled off the helmet and placed it on Josh's thigh.
“Man that was risky” he began as she scratched her hair roughly.
“Is it still intact” he pressed on, but she was just silent and sad.
“The Stern lady is at it again…what time is your schedule today?” He continued trying to engage her in a conversation.
“Next time, don't involve me in your dirty games” she warned, and he chuckled.
“But we both benefits from it” he muttered while she scoffed.
“To hell with benefits… can't we just live a normal life without having to steal?.. look at those goons, they would have killed us today…oh, I was scared to death!” She snapped, trying to catch her breath.
“But they didn't, don't let fear set in” he cautioned, dipping his hand in his right pocket. She smirked at him and walked away, perplexed by the scene that just happened. Erica hated the life she was living with her brother, but they just have to survive even the minor works she does wasn't helping, either does she even have time for herself.
“I will be coming late and…” She paused, trying to change the tone of her voice which was becoming sober.
“Don't gamble with the money, we have bills on our neck” she reminded respectfully, and he grinned.
“Don't tell me what to do girl…enjoy while it last” he concluded and rode off while she stared at him.
