Chapter 1

January 21, 2020

In frustration, Annah closed her eyes firmly, wanting to shut his annoying voice off her system. But being born just to drive her nuts was Ricco's greatest talent of all.

"What's the matter, Park? Being a mongrel finally done you good?" Ricco hovered just far behind her while she clutched her hair in exasperation. She felt her anger finally coming through all the shield of patience she built just this morning.

"Urgh! Ricco Kwon!" Annah harshly stood up and faced him with a glare. "It's morning and your annoying face is hovering on my bloody business!" Annah shouted.

"Oh, come off you now. Can't really tell when does a mixed blood would burst. " Ricco clicked his tongue in amusement while his friends behind him were snickering.

"Grow up, Ricco!" Annah said in growl.

"No need to remind me, mongrel. I'm growing up just fine since I'm a pureblood while you...are sad excuse of a mixed blooded vampire."

"Get off my face or I'll bite your eyeballs clean!" Annah warned while Ricco just laughed out loud and went to his seat along with his group of dum-dums.

"I swear when no one's around, I would suck him dry of all his blood." Annah drawled under her breath as she sat back to her seat.

"It's been two years Annah. He still get your nerves?" Maine asked in low voice.

"It's only first day of the school year, Maine, and he's into my nerves."

"He's just being a Kwon. A jerk one I might add." Maine said in low voice.

"Being a pureblood didn't do him good on his brain. He's a nitwit." Annah still clenched her fists together, bowing to her notes in the subject of History.

"Tell me about it." Maine agreed. "At least he's good looking and seriously delectable." Maine said licking her lower lip.

"Gross." Annah grimaced terribly at the display of her friend's interest to the pureblood Kwon. "Stop patronizing with the pureblood vampires. They hate us and I hate them all."

"Just saying. I heard their bloods are seriously addicting. I might have taste one someday." Maine continued.

"Make sure you wont have one in the line of the Kwons or you'll get their lunacy, self centeredness, sick confidence, stupid, moronic traits from their blood." Annah muttered grudgingly and scribbled on her notes.

Maine looked over Annah's shoulder and almost burst out laughing when she wasn't taking notes but seriously hexing Ricco Kwon with her pen.

"Careful what you wish for, sweety. Coz you might just get it." Maine reminded, making Annah paused for a while and stopped from cursing Ricco again and again to the core of her heart. She turned to Ricco's direction and got seriously annoyed at his smirking face once again. She continued to put hexes surrounding his name once again.

"I wish we aren't taking the same classes this year but I'm just so freaking lucky all way through and through." Annah muttered for more.

"Gloat all you want for being classmate with Ricco. Obviously you're the only one who's upset here." Maine forced Annah's head to look up and saw the women in the classes and even the men were very proud to be Ricco's classmates.

"Disgusting taste you all." Annah muttered and crumpled the paper grudgingly and threw it to the bin. "I shouldn't waste my brain cells with this jerk."

But Annah had no luck indeed when she traced her way on the food section in the building, she had to walk through the path where Ricco was hanging out with his groupies. With a tray on her hand, she turned about the opposite direction but the jerk already saw her.

"Hey Park?! Finally feeling small passing over the presence of purebloods?" he called out while Annah did her mantra to shoo away her anger and sweetly smiled at his direction.

"You know what, Ricco? On the other note, I'd like you to know that as much as I can, I would refuse to see your face because it darkened my beautiful, oh so sunny days." she said pleasantly.

"Mixed bloods really are sad weird creatures." Ricco shook his head solemnly, clicking his tongue in fake sympathy.

"And purebloods are just sad excuse of a vampire, really. You're not even that special Ricco."

"Mongrel vampire." Ricco shot.

"Black blooded vampire." Annah retaliated.

"You just wish you want to see the real color of my blood, don't you? But sorry, you wont, sweet apple pie." Ricco faked a pout as if talking to a puppy.

"I'll drop dead first before I will desire to see your blood, Kwon."

"You'll beg for it." Ricco wiggled his brows.

"Oh no, I wont sunk my teeth of your filthy blood." Annah had the her brows in one line.

The rest of the purebloods accompanying Ricco reacted in anger. If not for the presence of their leader of all student purebloods in the academy, they would tackle her down right there. BA or Black Academy was supposed to be exclusive for all pureblooded vampires only. But because the founder of the school was replaced, the academy was Hybridized, allowing interbreed vampires to enroll in such prestigious school - having changed its name into England Interbreed Academy. It was only two years ago and the population grown steadily. Mostly the enrollees are like Annah Park, a hybrid creature from a vampire father and a vampire father. But hybrids are ostracized openly by some purebloods since they were considered an abomination to the vampire race. They'd been called names and Ricco had the knack to pick on none other than, Annah Park. A mongrel or a mixed blood were just few of the names he used to downgrade her. It'd been two years and he wasn't stopping even at third school year.

"Filthy blood you say? Don't refer yourself like that, Park." Ricco clicked his tongue with a smirk on the side of his lips. The rest of his groupies were looking at Annah in distaste with their rich, luminous blue eyes, a contrasting traits of the vampires of pureblood.

"No. I'm definitely referring to you, Kwon." Annah shot back and glared at him with her chocolate colored eyes. Instead of anger, Ricco cockily looked at her as if all her words didn't get under his skin to even piss him off. .

"Oh, that's quite wrong to say it, most especially from lowest class in the pyramid of vampire race." he shot back, crossing his arms across his chest.

Annah swore she was an inch away from clobbering his smirk off his face with the tray on her hands. He always say the right words to throw her off in anger. He wore smugness on his face with his icy gray eyes, matching so annoyingly well with his silver blonde hair. But she wont admit it to anyone even it means life or death scenario.

Among the purebloods in the school, Ricco Kwon has the only one with such cold gray eyes, a typical trait of the line of the Kwon, the blood of the royalty.

"Shut up, Kwon." Annah growled under her breath but his smirk wont go anywhere even if she bled her eyes out from glaring passionately at him.

Ricco leaned over to her direction and whispered sweetly. "Bottom feeder...just like your parents."

And Annah should always get used to his hurtful words. It'd been two years since he was doing this to her. But every time he involved her parents, she always felt rage. With a clenched fists after she openly dropped the tray down her feet, she then attacked him with a single punch on his face.

The scene garnered a lot of attentions from purebloods and hybrids.

Ricco was instantly sent down the floor with Annah hovering above him and unceasingly punched him on his chest that he coughed in pain.

Ricco's friends immediately got Annah off him and helped him up.

"Annah!" Maine was immediately on her side to bring her up from sprawling in the floor. "What were you thinking?!"

"Let me off." Annah said in low voice still glaring at Ricco who was wincing on the pain on his chest.

"Bottom feeder bitch." Ricco snarled.

"Oh yeah. Watch your back at night, Kwon or this bottom feeder your calling, shall be the one to suck your blood dry." Annah growled which made Maine and the others gasped loudly at her threat. No one. As in not a single soul should dare threat a pureblood. And a Kwon of all, the son of the current ruler of the race who have the absolute distaste of all the hybrid vampire.

"The king will hear all of this, mongrel!" Luna, a pureblood who sided Ricco all the time, screamed in anger.

"You dare threat the king's son?! A pureblood!" Shouted Gideon.

"You shall burn in the king's court!" Added Basik and pointed at her.

"Oh I can't wait." Annah only said, swatted off her friend's hold on her even though they themselves felt scared of the purebloods' words.

"What is happening here?" Jason Hyun, a member of the academy prefect, asked as he got into the crowd. He saw that Annah was yet involved into another catfight with the Kwon. "Annah?"

Annah's glare immediately left from Ricco and went to Jason, her boyfriend.

"Oh look, your knight comes to the rescue, mongrel." Ricco spat.

"That is not nice, Mr. Kwon." Jason said in serious face.

"Don't even say my name you filthy bastard." Ricco shot back to him.

All of the hybrids became quite agitated at Ricco's words since Jason led all the hybrids in the school.

"Try saying that again and I wont think twice to discipline your misbehavior."

All the purebloods were also on the edge too after Jason's warning.

Ricco stepped dangerously towards Jason. "You? You shall discipline me? Don't make me laugh, filth." he spoke while a portion of his fangs were showing as he spoke. His eyes turned more cold than it usually be.

"As the prefect of the school, it's my responsibility to control the rabid attitude of all students." Jason said calmly, holding his silver scepter before Ricco who only looked at it in nonchalance as if not afraid for how it actually hurt to be hit by it.

"Then let start with your girlfriend, shall we?" Ricco challenged and looked at Annah with coldness.

"She attacked him first." Luna reinforced.

Jason's brows twitched before his eyes fell to the woman on his left side.

Annah actually jolted at the accusing look of her guy before she looked down.

"Is that true, Annah?" Jason asked but Annah only frowned and bowed down.

"Can't talk some sense now, mixed blood?" Ricco taunted Annah which successfully made her looked up and glared at him.

"Asshole." Annah breathed passionately.

"Annah." Jason warned making her bowed down again. "Did you attack him first?"

All eyes were directed on her and heaven knows, how she wanted to punch Ricco unceasingly until he bleeds right there. But she held back and let a heavy sigh. Closing her eyes in defeat and unclenching her throbbing fists, she slowly nodded.

"I've expected so much from you, Annah." Jason said in reprimanding tone. "Now, apologize to the pureblood."

Annah could have been left standing there all day and not say a damn word. But she felt Maine nudged her shoulder to just eat her pride that moment and just be done with it.

"M'sorry..."Annah said, barely opening her mouth.

"I can't hear you." Ricco taunted.

Annah looked up in anger to him again and clenched her fist which actually ache as she did so. She saw the blood at the side of his lips and wondered if she really hurt him that bad. If she ever did, he deserved it ten folds. "I'm sorry, alright?!" She screamed before scurrying away from the pressed crowds ushered her running away towards the direction of the building's tower with their eyes.

Jason then turned to Ricco and murmured his mistake.

"Then move that bloody scepter off my way, filth." Ricco said and walked passed Jason's shoulder, intentionally banged it with his own.

Now walking out from the food section, Ricco was followed by his groupies who were asking him if he's alright since there was blood on the side of his lips.

"Let me aid that later, master." Luna offered softly.

"I'd like to be alone." Ricco said making his friends immediately halted from following him.

"Master I shall tend your wound later." Luna once again offered.

"No need, Luna." Ricco said. " It's not even my blood."

All his friends saw him wiping the trace of fresh blood from the side of his lips with his thumb and then brought it inside of his mouth, licking it. He then turned away from them towards his personal study space in the building.
