"Lisa, let's run faster!" Sean shouted as he continued to run, occasionally glancing back to make sure his elder sister was running behind him and not being left behind.

Their breaths sounded heavy, sweat-drenched all over their bodies, their arms and legs were injured by the thorns of the plants in the forest. Fatigue was felt, coupled with both of their knees hurting because they had been running non-stop in the middle of a dark forest.

"Sean, wait. I can't run anymore," said Lisa, trying to catch her breath.

"Okay, let's rest for a while, then we'll go back to run because they will chase us here," Sean answered as he asked Lisa to sit under a tree and he also sat beside his sister.

"Sorry, I got you involved in this," said Lisa sadly.

"You don't need to apologize, didn't we promise to mom to take care of each other? The most important thing is that we have to get out of here immediately,” said Sean.

"Thank you, Sean. I think I feel stronger already. Let's get back to run," said Lisa.

“I think just walk fast to save energy. But the problem is where should we go?” Both of them looked around the forest, trying to get help, but to no avail. They were in the middle of the forest and are caught between the battle of the two strongest packs in the city, named the Black Skull Pack and the Blood Moon Pack.

It was a full moon night, the howling of wolves was heard everywhere. The howling sound echoed throughout the forest, making anyone's guts shrank. The worse part was Lisa and Sean didn't know where to go and run away from the wolves.

Tired as they were, they could only hope for a shelter now because stopping here means certain death. The night was getting late and there was no light in the distance, all that could be seen was a row of tall trees that soared into the sky and a thin mist that was enough to block the eyes.

Then, they decided to walk back through the dark and uninhabited forest. Only the sound of the nocturnal beasts could be heard echoing in the ears. Both of them felt very frightened, especially they had just seen a large group of creatures they had never seen before.

Two groups of creatures that were similar to dogs, but they were larger with sharp fangs and scary eyes, plus their howling voices made the hairs stand on end.

As they walked, they went deeper into the forest, where the moonlight only shone a little on the interior of the forest. The thorny plants and the steep paths had to be traversed by them. Not infrequently, the skin of their hands and the skin of their feet are cut by sharp plant thorns.

As far as the eyes could see, not a single person could be seen passing by, and no light could be seen entering the forest. This made them more afraid and worried. Were they going to be lost forever in the forest? Would they die horribly by the wolves?

They lamented too much curiosity that brought them being trapped in the middle of the forest at night without carrying supplies or other belongings. While enduring the cold, they continued to walk, hoping to find a house they could use as a place to rest.

“Sean, how is it? How long do we have to keep walking?” asked Lisa tried not to cry.

"I don't know, but we shouldn't stop walking," said Sean, looking at his elder sister's face.

However, the unfortunate fate did not stop there. From a distance, it turned out to be a wolf running towards them at full speed. When both of them witnessed the fight between the two strongest packs earlier, their smell was smelled by a wolf and now it was chasing them for one purpose which was to attack them both.

On the way, they saw a terrible scene, the pieces of a human body that were divided into several parts in a very pathetic condition. Dark red blood dripped down the ground and the fishy smell was very strong. Lisa screamed and became very panicked. To save their lives, Sean grabbed Lisa's hand while shouting, "Hurry up and run if we don't want to suffer the same fate as him."

They ran very fast, crossing the trunks of large trees trying to keep their eyes open because the road in front of them was shrouded in a light mist. Meanwhile, a werewolf continued to run towards them.

Until finally, Lisa and Sean arrived at the edge of the cliff and were confused about the direction in the forest, everything looked the same. They looked around, trying to find the whereabouts of the werewolf chasing them. But unfortunately, their eyesight is limited, while the werewolf's eyesight is unlimited.

While busy looking for a direction to run, a large white wolf walked slowly towards them while grinning with a large and heavy tone of voice saying, "time to have fun."

Lisa and Sean hugged each other, their bodies shaking with fear. Lisa cried and begged the wolf for mercy. The reason was, a few moments ago they had witnessed with their own eyes a human body that was cut into several pieces in a very pathetic condition.

"Let go of us, please," Lisa begged, crying.

The white wolf didn't answer, he continued to walk closer to both of them while baring its sharp fangs and frightening grin. His hunting instincts increased instantly. Sean realized the situation and learned to accept that maybe that night was the last night for the two of them in this world.

“How is it, Sean? What should we do? He's getting closer."

“Stand behind me, Lisa,” Sean begged his elder sister.

As the distance between them grew closer, the white wolf saw its target and dashed over to try to lunge at its prey. However, at the same time, another wolf came and attacked the white wolf, and there was a loud voice that said, "Don't attack them, Fred!" And there was a fierce battle between the two wolves.

Lisa and Sean watched two large wolves fighting with each other, biting and clawing at each other. The sound of bodies falling to the ground could be heard very clearly.

The two of them hugged each other and hoped that the wolf who had just arrived would come to help them. However, the wolf who came to save them had been badly injured. His strength was unable to match the white wolf's strength.

The white wolf repelled his opponent's body which accidentally pushed Lisa's body on the edge of the cliff. The brown wolf and Lisa fell into an unknown abyss. Sean and his elder sister's grip on their hands was released instantly.

"Sean, help!" cried Lisa.

"Lisa," cried Sean frantically trying to reach Lisa's hand.

Too late, Lisa fell into the abyss and separated from Sean.
