Mozambique's pov

"You have to attend this ball. Every pack will be there." My mom tried coaxing me while we were eating breakfast.

"I want to go hunting with the boys." I replied coldly.

"You are going to listen to your mum and stop hanging out with those low-life boys. If any of them impregnate you Moz, I will disown you." My father threatened.

This is the reason I hated being born into this family, being the next in line to be the Alpha of my pack. My parents wanted me to be perfect. Of course, I lived up to their exceptions.

course,

I will continue to do so because that is my fate.

"Are you even listening to me?" My mom's high-pitched voice brought me out of my thoughts.

"Yes."

"It's a masked ball. I have prepared your dress and your masks."

"Masked ball?" I let out a sarcastic laugh. "This is a party for a bunch of cowards hiding from each other."

"I can see what you are doing, Moz. You want me to ground you for insulting me indirectly? That won't work on me. Be ready by 8:30." My dad said, leaving the table.

Tables turned when I woke up naked in a hotel room. How did I get here from the ball? Holy shit.

I saw a pretty and handsome guy butt naked beside me. Memories from last night flashed into my head.

My parents left me to interact with other people of high status like them. I went to the table where the shots of tequila were arranged.

The party was as exquisite as my sister had told me. I took two shots of tequila consecutively; it burned my throat and my head started spinning. I had never taken alcohol all my life. Today was my first.

I made my way to the toilet to wash my face. Maybe I'd be calm. A maskless man bumped into me. We stared at each other for a moment. His Violet eyes were intriguing. I didn't realise when I followed him to the hotel room. My phone beeped.

I scrambled to look for it under the sheets. I took it to the other side of the bed without waking the Violet eyed boy. My sister's name glared at me on the phone, while I swiped to pick her call.

Realisation hits her after that. She had just slept with Chris, the Alpha of her rival pack. "Shit." I silently cursed to myself. How did I not realise he was the one last night? That bloody tequila.

"Where are you?" My sister Angola yelled immediately. I picked her call.

"I am at.." I looked around to check the hotel I was in, then I saw the logo of the hotel on their sheets. "Swiss Hotel, I checked into a room when I couldn't find you guys after the party." I lied.

"Come home soon. We were all worried,"

"I will be home soon." I hung up, and I quietly wore my clothes and snuck out of the hotel room.

I stood by the entrance of the hotel to flag a cab down, but a black Mercedes parked in front of me. It turned out to be Chris' Beta, Raymond.

He lowered the window of his car, and he beckoned on me. "Do you need a ride?"

I rolled my eyes at him. "Seems like this is a routine," I murmured to myself, inaudible for him to hear me. "Do you always clean after your Alpha by giving his one-night stands lift home?"

"Just the pretty ones, Mami. Get in." He smirked at me. I got into the car because I doubted if I was going to get a cab soon and I needed to get home as soon as possible.

Four weeks later

"How long has she been skipping breakfast and throwing up?" I heard my father's monstrous voice question my mom. I knew things would not end well this morning.

"Two weeks," I picked up what my mom said. She said it in her lowest voice.

"Your daughter had been sick for two weeks, Taylor, and you did nothing." I heard him yell at my mom.

"I gave her some drugs, but she didn't use them. She is an adult. I can't always force her to do the right thing."

"Mozambique!" He yelled. I rinsed my mouth, and I walked lazily to the lounge where they were.

I buried my face in my palm while he rambled on, tried listening but it felt like I could not keep myself from zoning out.

I saw myself in the clinic; they connected a drip to my arm. I removed it and I sat up.

My father spoke up immediately. "How are you?" He patted my head.

"I think I am fine. There is nothing you worry about." I reassured him.

"You should not say that..."

"Mr Reign," a nurse called him, cutting him off. "The doctor wants to see you."

"Okay." He replied to her, and he faced me. "I'd be back soon, honey." He left with the nurse and I laid down on the hospital bed as I was wondering why my mom didn't come with him.

After ten minutes, my dad rushed into the ward with a doctor.

"Mr Reign, please calm down." The doctor persuaded my dad, leaving me in confusion.

"How can you say she's pregnant?" He barked at the doctor. Shit, that night with Chris.

"The test can't lie."

"I say you run another test on her right away."

The nurses that came with the doctor and my dad took my blood sample and they went to take the test to see that I was pregnant.

They came back with a piece of paper, and they handed it to the doctor.

"She is really pregnant." The doctor confirmed, and I could see hair growing in my father's arms. He was pissed.

"We are going to abort that baby right away." My dad said, facing the doctor.

"This same child in me? There is no way, dad." I spoke up.

"You want to disgrace me by having this baby? I warned you to stay away from those boys. Now look at what you end up with? You must abort this child."
